This tool is a custom-built website, set up for ease of use with smartphones, which can be fed as many of our local resistance events as we organize. The website is free for the public to view and free for event organizers, who can get a free account from Northwest Indivisible (we screen requests to keep the trolls out). Organizers may then load any number of events—which may include fliers, posters, PDF files of information, images of events, sign templates, maps—loaded right into the event record for people to access.

Recent event: ICE OUT at TARGET!
Lacey Target store, Sunday Feb 15th
We had 25 people there—and one customer even joined us. We walked in with our signs and marched straight back to the table salt aisle, picking up one each before heading back to self-checkout. When there were other customers in line, we invited them to jump in front of us. And after checking out, we each went to return the salt (there wasn’t enough salt to melt the ICE mess).
The shift manager was expecting us and greeted us at the door, and was perfectly friendly, making sure we were not disrupting other customers. (The Lacey police had contacted us, worried we would vandalize the store, which of course we had no intention of doing and didn’t.)
We did hand out fliers explaining the event and were asked to stay away from the entrance of the store—so we walked out to the public sidewalk and waved signs for a while, getting lots of honking responses.
We hope to rinse and repeat this kind of quick, easy resistance action soon!
